Welcome to Pilbara Sands

Pilbara Sands Pty Ltd has two sites, strategically located close to the town of Port Hedland in the Pilbara region of Western Australia.
The Pindan Sand site is located 15kms from Port Hedland, with the Rock Quarry located 35kms from Port Hedland providing easy access and short haulage routes.

Extensive geological tests were carried out prior to the opening of these sites to ensure project sustainability well into the future. In depth environmental, flora and fauna and hydrology studies were undertaken on both sites to ensure our footprint will have no detrimental effects on the environment.

Pilbara Sands predominantly mines and supplies bulk materials for construction projects, road building etc however products can be supplied for smaller projects by arrangement.

Pindan Sand – General Purpose fill sand, Clean fill sand and road construction materials.

Rock – Armor Rock, Concrete aggregates, asphalt aggregates, filter aggregates and is available in any size.

Pilbara Sands Pty Ltd is a family owned, Western Australian Business. It’s founding director, Dave Macpherson has been in the Industry for more than 40 years and his knowledge of the Pilbara area is arguable second to none.
